Community Champions are individuals that are active within ethnic communities who:
- Have an interest in finding out more about and contributing to the development of National Parks
- Have good knowledge and understanding of their own community
- Are willing to partake in the training and development opportunities on offer through the Mosaic Partnership
- Are willing to promote the National Parks to their community groups and the needs of their community groups to the National Parks
The initial group of Mosaic Partnership Community Champions have been self-selected from the most active participants of the previous Mosaic project. They are keen to further develop their participation in the National Park movement. These community group leaders have been crucial in helping to develop the new project and will be an integral part of the future management and evaluation of the Mosaic Partnership.
